A Person whose Maths is very Weak,he can be Good at Astronomy ?
my maths is very weak but i LOVE ASTRONOMY so much
i know many things about it which most of the common man does not know,i have lot of books on astronomy
i have good LEARNING POWER,so i learn Most of the UNITS,Like LIGHT YEAR,distances of Galaxies,Stars i know all of them
I HAVE GREAT THEORITICAL KNOWLEDGE OF ASTRONOMY
how many of you are same like me
no i dont want to get a college education
I wanted to be a professional astronomer, but realized that my math skills were not good enough and I would be very frustrated if I did not change my attitude about math. I successfully changed my attitude. This was before PCs were common, in the 1970’s, I wonder if I tried to be an astronomy major today if I would find it as frustrating, because so much has been computerized these days that I suspect a lot of our memories are being slowly eroded away. Now that I understand basic calculus and physics, I really do wonder at times. I’ll be happy if I ever get the chance to work on Ph.D. in planetary geology, but quantum mechanics and physical chemistry probably still blow my mind.
Good luck.
